Instructions on How to Replace a Brake Pad on an Audi TT

1. Turn off the ignition, place the Audi in park or first gear, and engage the parking brake. Place wheel chocks on both sides of the tire located on opposite the corner from the wheel you wish to work on first.
2. Jack up the selected corner of the vehicle. Before lifting, make sure the pressure surface of the jack is situated underneath a marked jacking point. If necessary, consult the owner's manual for a list of designated jacking points. Once the tire has cleared the ground, lower the vehicle onto a jack stand. Never work on a car supported only by the jack.
3. Pull the tire by removing each lug nut with the lug wrench. Release the brake caliper from the wheel hub by undoing each of the connecting bolts. The pads are now free to come out. Dispose of the old pads, and insert the new ones into the same space. Replace the caliper and securely tighten each bolt.
4. Remove the jack stand and carefully lower the Audi. Repeat this process on any other wheels that are in need of brake service.
