How to Modify the Audi S6 Airbox

1. Remove the air box from your S6 by using the sets of metric wrenches and sockets. Depending on the year of your S6, the specific removal process will vary slightly. The air box is a rectangular plastic piece located on the driver's side of the engine bay towards the front of the car. It is attached to the intake manifold on the engine.
2. Disassemble the air box by removing the top piece from the assembly. This is typically secured onto the air box by plastic clips which can be pried up to loosen the cover from the rest of the assembly.
3. Remove the air filter from the air box by sliding it out, then set the disassembled air box aside.
4. Drill a series of small holes into the bottom of your air box assembly. Space them approximately 1 inch apart from each other. Each hole should not exceed more than approximately 1/2 inch in diameter. These holes will ultimately increase the volume of air that can be drawn into the air box.
5. Reassemble your air box and reattach it to the engine's intake manifold to complete the modification procedure.
