How to Program Keyless Entry for a BMW 328

1. Close the hood, trunk and all doors of the vehicle with the ignition key and remotes to be programmed in hand.
2. Perform the following tasks within 45 seconds. Open the trunk and driver door. Enter the vehicle and close the driver door. Insert the key in the ignition and toggle it between the 'on' and 'off' positions five times, ending in the 'off' position. The alarm light will turn on and the alarm system will chirp, indicating that the vehicle has entered remote programming mode. If this does not occur, then repeat these steps to enter programming mode before proceeding.
3. Open the driver door while remaining in the driver seat. Press any button on the remote being programmed. The alarm light will flash indicating that the remote has been programmed. Repeat this process for additional remotes that need programming. A total of four remotes can be programmed.
4. Exit programming mode by removing the key from the ignition, exiting the vehicle and closing the trunk and driver door. The alarm light will turn off and the alarm system will chirp, indicating the vehicle has exited programming mode. Test each remote by locking and unlocking the doors of the vehicle.
