Mercedes 560SL Sun Visor Removal


1. Rotate the right or left edge of the vehicle's rear-view mirror down by hand to remove it.
2. Remove the three screws holding the base plate of the rear-view mirror, using the Phillips screwdriver. Place the screws in a zip-up plastic bag.
3. Take out the visor's inside mount from its receiver by hand. Undo the screw holding the receiver to the visor, using the screwdriver. Place the screw in a second plastic bag.
4. Pry up toward the center on the visor's light with the screwdriver to remove it. Unplug the light's two electrical connectors by hand.
5. Remove the two screws in the visor's upper trim piece, using the screwdriver. Place the screws in a third plastic bag. Pull both the main molding trim piece and its accompanying passenger's side piece toward the middle of the car to remove them.
6. Take off the tape that holds the visor's wires to the vehicle's windshield by hand. Remove the right and left screws on the visor's base with the screwdriver, and place the screws in a fourth plastic bag.
7. Attach pliers to the visor's metal connector and pull its plastic cover off by hand.
8. Remove the two screws that hold the visor's ground wire to the aluminum plate with the screwdriver; place them in a fifth plastic bag. Pull the ground wire off and remove the visor by hand to finish.
