How do I Install an Exterior Door Handle on a Mercedes C240?

1. Open the damaged door from inside the vehicle.
2. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws from the handle and the trim, on the inner door panel. Lift them both away from the door. Put the screws in a safe place, as you will need them later.
3. Reach into the space left by the removed door panel, and locate the two linkage arms. These are part of the door handle assembly. Unhook the two arms and lift them out of the door.
4. Remove the rest of the door handle assembly from the door. This includes pulling the exterior door handle away from the vehicle. Discard the damaged handle.
5. Place the new exterior door handle on the outside of the door. Reattach the linkage arm, and the rest of the door assembly -- following the removal steps in reverse. Once the work is completed, check to make sure the door handle works correctly.
