How to Start a BMW With a Valet Key

1. Press and release the 'Lock' button on your valet key remote and wait for the locks to click and the car headlights to flash.
2. Press and hold the starter button on the remote until the car starts. Release the button. The car will stay started for 10 minutes.
3. Press 'Lock' and hold the starter button while the car is running to turn off the auto starter.
4. Press 'Lock' again and hold the starter button after the car has stopped to run the car for an additional 10 minutes.
5. Use your ignition key to start or stop the car once it has already been auto started.
