1. Drive out of the Hollywood garage and search for 60 hidden locations of the yellow 55-gallon metal drums with the 'Rockstar' logo stamped on them. Start with the street block surrounding the Hollywood garage and drive block by block until you exhaust all possibilities. Every 10 barrels found unlocks a cheat like 'unlimited nitro,' 'unlimited special abilities' and 'no police' that will help you go faster.
2. Upgrade your favorite 'bike' class vehicle in the garage with the highest available performance parts. Motorcycles offer the highest top speed in 'Midnight Club LA.'
3. Turn on the nitro, special abilities and no police cheats before driving onto the freeway. Press and hold the 'gas' and 'nitro' button at the same time to increase your speed.
Racing
4. Pick the 2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 out of your garage of vehicles and start riding to the nearest street race. This is the most powerful motorcycle in the game in terms of acceleration and top speed.
5. Press the 'e-brake' button and 'gas' button at the same time, which will cause your vehicle to do a burnout as you wait for the race to begin. Release the 'e-brake' button when there are three bars remaining in the countdown timer to get an early start on the competition. Flying to the front of the pack will allow you to go faster because none of the opponents will be in your way to slow you down.
6. Accelerate to the fastest manageable speed while on the freeway. When you come up to a car marked for highway battles, flash your lights to start the race. You will immediately have an advantage since your vehicle is already going much faster than the other car.

8. Gain 26,160 reputation points, which will unlock Level 2 performance upgrades for Group 4 vehicles. All other vehicles and performance upgrades will also be unlocked.
9. Upgrade your 'exotics' and 'bikes' with the new performance parts. These are the two fastest vehicle classes in the game.
