How do I Remove amp; Change BMW 330I Head Lamps?

1. Purchase replacement bulbs at a local car parts and accessory store. BMW 330Is use PIAA 9006 bulbs. You should purchase the type of bulb that best fits your specifications and budget. They will range in price from under $10 to over $70, depending on the type and brightness of the bulbs.
2. Pop the hood of your BMW. The headlight compartment can only be accessed from the interior of the engine compartment under the hood.
3. Unscrew the anchor screw holding each headlight assembly into place. Depending on the year of your BMW, the anchor screw can either be accessed behind the assembly case and parallel to the ground (in older models) or on top of the assembly case and perpendicular to the ground (in newer models).
4. Remove the old bulbs from each headlight assembly. Again, depending on the year of your BMW, the bulbs will either be held in place by small screw (in older models) or a plastic latch (in newer models).
5. Install the new bulbs and either screw the bulb into place or latch the bulb in place with the plastic latch. Be sure to attach the same wires and connections to the new bulbs that were attached to the old bulbs. This is particularly important if you are replacing your bulbs with brighter and more powerful headlights bulbs.
6. Replace the headlight assembly and anchor it in place with the anchor screw.
