How to Replace Driving Lights for the Mercedes

Headlamps and Front Turn Signals
1. Put on the clean gloves. Turn the headlamp switch to the off position and open the hood.
2. Press down on the clamp of the housing cover to release it. Remove the housing cover.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb. The high-beam bulb is on the inner-side of the headlamp assembly and the low-beam bulb is on the outer side. The turn signal bulb is the small bulb at the top of the assembly. Rotate the bulb counterclockwise and pull it out to remove it.
4. Install a new H7 bulb for either headlamp into the socket and rotate it clockwise to secure it. Use a 1156A bulb for the turn signal. Reattach the electrical connector and the housing cover. Close the hood.
Front Parking Lamps
5. Put on the gloves before touching any light bulbs. Turn the headlamp switch to the off position. Gloves protect the bulb from oil in the hands and thus ensures a longer life before replacement.
6. Slide the parking lamp cover towards the rear of the vehicle. Pry off the front end of the lamp first and then the rear.
7. Rotate the bulb counterclockwise to remove it. Install a replacement W 5 W bulb and rotate it clockwise.
8. Reattach the parking lamp cover by setting the rear end first and then snapping the front end into the vehicle to secure it.
Rear Lamps
9. Put on the clean gloves. Turn the headlamp switch to the off position and open the trunk.
10. Rotate the securing fasteners on the tail lamp cover 90 degrees and remove the tail lamp cover.
11. Remove the desired bulb by rotating it counterclockwise and pulling it straight out. There are four bulbs on the tail lamp assembly: the brake lamp bulb, the backup lamp bulb, the turn signal lamp bulb, and the parking lamp bulb.
12. Install a replacement bulb by pushing it into the socket and rotating it clockwise. The brake lamps use a P 21 W bulb, the turn signals use a PY 21 W bulb, the parking lamps use a P 21/5 W bulb, and the backup lamps use a P 21 W bulb.
13. Reattach the tail lamp cover and tighten the fastener. Close the trunk.
