How to Locate a 2003 Mercedes E 320 Chassis Number

1. Unlatch the hood by pulling the hood release near the driver's door. Open the hood and locate the metal data plate near the radiator.
2. Look for the chassis number on the plate. This will be labeled as 'Chassis' or 'Fahrgestell Nr.' This number will have 12 digits. The first six numbers indicate the body style and model of your Mercedes.
3. Open the glove compartment and look for the data card included in your owner's manual. This card will have the chassis number listed for your vehicle.
