How to Jumpstart a BMW 325

1. Position a running vehicle in front of your BMW. Open the hood on both cars. Place the positive clamp from your jumper cables on the positive battery terminal of the car that is running. Place the negative clamp on the negative battery post of the same car.
2. Locate the positive battery terminal in your BMW and place the second positive clamp from the jumper cables on it. Locate the grounding nut, which is on the passenger's side fender well above the battery, and place the second battery clamp on it.
3. Turn the ignition key to the 'on' position and allow the power to reach all the accessories and fuel pump. It will take about 10 seconds. Turn the key to the 'start' position and start the engine in your BMW. Leave it running.
4. Remove the jumper cables from both cars, starting with the negative terminals first. Close the hoods on both cars and let the BMW run or drive it for about 20 minutes to recharge the battery.
