How to Get a Key Made for a BMW Without a Title

1. Determine the year of your BMW. If it's an older model, made before the new millennium, you can call any locksmith to request a key for your car since the car has no computer system. If your car is a later model, you'll need to contact your local BMW dealership.
2. Inform the locksmith or BMW dealership that you've lost the keys to your car and need to replace them. Provide them with some sort of documentation proving your ownership. Ideally, your vehicle title is the best proof of ownership, but if you cannot find your title, you can use your registration or insurance card.
3. Wait while a new key is made for your car, and pay the locksmith or dealership for their service and for your new key.
