2002 Audi A6 Won#039;t Start

1. Check to make sure you have gas in the tank. Even if your gas gauge says you have enough, add more to make sure. Your gas gauge could be broken. If you have no gas, your Audi won't start.
2. Turn on the ignition and see if the check engine light comes on. If it does, then your Audi A6's engine computer is getting power. If it doesn't, it could mean a problem with the computer or even something as simple as a broken wire.
3. Turn on the Audi's ignition and check to see if the windshield wipers are working. If the windshield wipers are slow, it could indicate that your battery is low. You can fix this by jumping the car and letting it run for a few hours.
4. Listen for a banging sound. If your Audi is making a banging sound, it could be a serious engine problem. If you hear a squealing or high-pitched sound, a belt could be loose. Take the car to a mechanic.
