How to Reset the Oil Change Light on a 2007 BMW 328i

1. Insert the ignition key in the 328i's ignition.
2. Press and hold the 'Start/Stop' button, but do not press the clutch or brake pedal. Release the 'Start/Stop' button once the oil change light extinguishes.
3. Press and hold the odometer reset button as soon as the oil change light goes out. After three seconds of holding the reset button, a warning triangle appears on the gauge cluster, hold the button for two to three seconds after the warning triangle appears. If performed correctly, an oil can appears on the gauge cluster.
4. Twist the turn signal stalk up or down to toggle through the service menu on the gauge cluster until you reach the 'Oil Life' menu.
5. Press the 'BC' button on the end of the turn signal stalk and observe as 'Reset' appears on the display in the gauge cluster.
6. Press and hold the 'BC' button for two to three seconds and observe as a whirling clock icon appears on the display. The clock indicates the system has reset.
7. Remove the ignition key.
