How to Remove a Power Steering Pump from an Audi TT

1. Lift up the front of the Audi TT using the jack and support it by jack stands. Unbolt the lower engine shield from the chassis using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket and remove it from the vehicle.
2. Locate the belt tensioner, which is on the left side of the engine block, toward the top. Turn it using the 3/8-inch breaker bar and a socket until the belt goes loose. Pull the belt off of the power steering pump.
3. Put the drain pan underneath the power steering pump. Install the clamp on the reservoir suction line, which is the soft rubber line. Remove the hoses using the line wrench and point the hoses down towards the drain pan.
4. Unbolt the power steering pump from the engine block using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Lower the pump down out of the engine compartment and away from the Audi.
