How to Install an Audi TT Radio

1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the car battery, using the adjustable wrench to avoid the risk of a short circuit or electric shock.
2. Remove the old radio. Insert the angled end of the Audi radio removal tools into the two slots on the bottom of the Audi TT radio head unit. Push them in until you hear them click into place. Twisting the ends slightly, pull on the keys to pull the radio out of the dashboard housing. Unclip the two wire harnesses on the rear of the radio by pushing the tabs on their sides and pulling out the connections. Unplug the radio antenna cable. Place the old radio to one side.
3. Connect the faceplate adapter to the radio installation sleeve. Push the installation sleeve into the slots on the faceplate adapter until it clicks into place. Slide the radio into the radio installation sleeve through the portal of the faceplate adapter.
4. Connect the radio wiring. Attach the two wire harnesses of the Audi TT to the wire harness adapter. Push the connections together until they click into place. Repeat the process with the other end of the wire-harness adapter, connecting it to the wire harness of the new stereo. Plug the radio antenna cable into the radio antenna port on the rear of the new stereo.
5. Slide the stereo into the dashboard housing. Push it back as far as it will go until it clicks into place, taking care not to trap any of the wiring. Turn on the stereo to test the installation.
