How to Wire the Audio Harness

1. Remove the radio's wire harness, if the piece is still attached to the back of the radio.
2. Match up the aftermarket's harness with the radio's harness. Consult the radio and aftermarket harness manuals to reconcile the color matching (they're different based on model).
3. Strip 1/4 inch of insulation from the ends of both harnesses.
4. Crimp a 16-gauge connector to each wire on the radio's harness.
5. Slide the corresponding wires from the aftermarket harness into the other end of the crimp connectors. Crimp them in place using the crimp tool.
6. Snap the aftermarket harness' female connector to the male harness protruding from the vehicle's dash. Reinstall the radio and dash components as needed.
