How to Replace the Fog Lamp of a Mercedes E430

1. Prop open the hood of your Mercedes E430. Locate the fog light next to the headlight.
2. Find the opening hatch below the fog lamp and under the bumper. Twist the plastic tab with a flat-head screwdriver until the hatch opens. Push the hatch down to access the lamp.
3. Unhook the latch that holds the cover of the fog lamp down. Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the lamp.
4. Unscrew the three bolts that hold the bracket for the lamp in place. There are two bolts on the top and one on the bottom. Pull the lamp and bracket out to remove the entire assembly.
5. Place the new lamp in the hatch. Bolt the new bracket in place with the flat-head screwdriver. Twist a new bulb in and plug in the electrical connector.
6. Close the hood and test your fog lamps.
