How to Replace an Air Filter on a Mercedes Benz C320

1. Open your hood. Remove the front part of the black engine cover by grabbing both sides and pulling straight up.
2. Remove the vent tube and both intake ducts. The vent tube is black and located near the middle area underneath the removed engine cover. The ducts are attached to a large tube and are located on each end of the air intake box. You will need to twist the ducts to remove them.
3. Pull up on the air intake box (the large black cover) once the vent tube and both ducts are disconnected.
4. Turn the air intake box upside down and remove the eight screws around the air filter chambers with the Philips screwdriver. There are four screws around each of the two chambers.
5. Remove the old air filters and install new air filters. If you use K&N reusable filters, properly clean and dry the filters before reinstalling them. K&N filters can be cleaned and reused for the lifetime of the Mercedes.
6. Clean the air filter chambers to remove excess dirt and debris from the air filters.
7. Put the air filter chambers back on the air intake box and screw in the eight screws to secure the air filter chambers.
8. Put the intake air box back on the engine and reattach the two intake ducts and vent tube. Push down on the front engine cover to lock it in place.
