How to Tow a BMW 323i

1. Open the trunk and locate the tool set on the underside of the trunk lid.
2. Unscrew the wing nut to remove the tool set.
3. Remove the flat-head screwdriver and two metal tow hooks from the set.
4. Locate the small, square plastic covers for the tow-hook inputs. They are located near the middle of the front and rear bumpers.
5. Screw the metal tow hooks tightly into place.
6. Position the tow truck so that the rear of the truck is in front of your car and tilt the flatbed until it touches the ground.
7. Release the tow truck winch and hook it to the tow hook on the front bumper of the car.
8. Place the 323i in neutral and start the winch. It will pull the car onto the flatbed.
9. Bring the flatbed level once the car is on the tow truck. Keep the winch connected to the tow hook. Secure the rear of the car by connecting a chain to the rear tow hook.
10. Engage the parking brake and put the vehicle in gear to keep movement at a minimum while it travels on the tow truck.
