How to Sort iPod Songs by Name in a BMW iDrive

1. Connect the iPod to the iDrive system by plugging the iPod end of the iPod USB cable into the bottom of the iPod. Plug the USB connection into the USB input, located either in the center console or in the glove box, depending on model.
2. Move the iDrive controller, located between the driver and passenger seats, back toward the rear of the vehicle to select the 'Entertainment' section of the iDrive system.
3. Move the controller forward and choose 'External' from the 'Source' screen. Then select the iPod. Press down on the controller to open the iPod controls.
4. Turn the iDrive controller until 'All Songs' is selected and then press down on the controller button to display all songs contained on the iPod by name.
