How to Reset the Change Oil Light in a 2002 Mercedes


1. Insert your stock electronic key into the ignition. Turn the key clockwise until it rests in the second position, it will be marked as such with the numeral '2'.
2. Press the '3' button on the steering wheel until you see the odometers on the display come up. If you are not seeing the display, push the '4' button instead.
3. Press the '5' button down if you used the '3' button in the previous step. If you used the '4' button, push down on the '6' button until you see the fuel system service indicator on the display screen.
4. Locate the reset knob on the instrument cluster by consulting your owner's manual. Hold the knob down for four seconds.
5. Respond to the prompt on the display by pushing the reset knob down again for an additional four seconds. You can release the knob after you hear the signal beep. The indicator on the display should now show the reset distance at 10,000 miles.
