How to Reset a 2001 740i BMW

1. Place the reset tool into the data link connector near the 740i's hood release latch. Turn on the BMW's ignition.
2. Wait for the display screen on the reset tool to turn on. Using the reset tool's scroll buttons, select 'BMW,' then press the 'OK' button.
3. Select '740i' by using the scroll buttons, then hit on 'OK.'
4. Select 'Reset of Service Warning Light' by using the scroll buttons, then press 'OK.' Wait for 'Reset OK!' to appear on the screen of the reset tool.
5. Turn off the BMW's ignition and disconnect the reset tool.
