How to Read the Tire Pressure in an Audi
1. Locate the valve stems on the tires of your Audi vehicle. Remove the caps on the valve stems.
2. Use a tire pressure gauge to check the pressure by placing the gauge on the valve stem and allowing the air to expel long enough to exert pressure on the gauge.
3. Read the value on the tire pressure gauge in psi (pounds per square inch) by either counting the notches on the gauge or by simply reading a number from a digital gauge.
4. Compare the value to the number listed on the side of tires in raised characters which state 'recommended PSI.' If you are unable to locate the number on your ties, you can always refer to the Audi owner's manual or to the sticker placed inside the driver's side door.
5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for all four tires on your Audi.
6. If your tire pressure for any single tire is greater than or less than 5 psi from the recommendation, then you should inflate or deflate that tire into specification. Once your tires are within specification, replace the caps on the valve stems.
