How to Install a Car Stereo on an Audi 200

1. Remove the negative cable from the battery terminal, by loosening it with an adjustable wrench and pulling it off.
2. Remove the old radio. Insert the Audi stereo removal keys into the slots on either side of the radio. Push the keys in until they click into place. Pull on the keys. and drag the stereo out of its housing in the dashboard. Unplug the radio antenna cable and disconnect the wire harness connections from the rear of the radio. Place the old Bose stereo unit to one side.
3. Install the radio installation sleeve supplied with the new aftermarket stereo into the vacant dashboard housing. Secure the sleeve in place by bending the tabs on the sides 90 degrees, to lock it in place. Feed the car stereo wiring through the middle of the radio installation sleeve.
4. Connect the stereo wire harness of the car to a wire connection adapter specific for the Audi 200. Connect the other end of the adapter to the wire harness of the aftermarket stereo. Plug the radio antenna cable into the designated port on the rear of the new stereo.
5. Insert the new stereo into the radio installation sleeve. Slide it in until it snaps into place. Reconnect the car battery negative terminal. Test the functionality of the stereo by turning it on and scrolling through its features.
