How Do I Install Snow Chains on an Audi A4?

1. Lay the chains in front of the front tires with the metal hooks facing down and with the first rung of the chain touching the tires. Lay the chains straight out so that when the car is pulled forward, the wheels will be in the middle of the chain, with approximately the same amount of chain on either side.
2. Drive the car forward, halfway onto the chains. Insure that the tires are directly over the chain, with about the same amount of chain on either side.
3. Pull the ends of the chain over the tire. Reach behind the tire and connect the connector cables on the inside first. If you have trouble reaching, turn the steering wheel all the way to the right so that you can reach behind the tire.
4. Work the chains around the wheel so that you can connect the outside connector cables. Remove as much slack as possible and connect the outside connector cables.
5. Attach the rubber loops that came with your chains to the outside of the tire. Each rubber loop should have four metal hooks spaced evenly around its circumference. Attach one hook to the chain at the top of the tire. Attach the hook at the bottom to the tire to the chain, then attach the two hooks on the sides. This will keep the chain from slipping.
