How to Change a Turbo Diesel 300 Battery

1. Open the hood for access to the engine compartment. Locate the battery on the passenger side of the engine compartment toward the back.
2. Unbolt the positive and negative cables from the battery posts with a socket wrench. Pull the cables off the battery.
3. Unbolt the retaining bolt at the bottom of the battery with a socket wrench. This will loosen the battery from its holder.
4. Pull the battery out and replace with the new battery. Tighten the bolt at the bottom to secure the battery in place.
5. Bolt the positive cable on to the terminal with a socket wrench. The positive cable will have a red clamp on it. The positive terminal is indicate by a '+' symbol. Bolt the negative cable to the remaining terminal.
6. Start the car to ensure the battery was installed correctly.
