How Do I Open a Bonnet on a 1993 BMW?

1. Open the car door on the driver's side.
2. Pull the hood release lever, which is positioned next to the pedals in the footwell on the driver's side. There will be some resistance before the lever disengages at which point the bonnet will rise slightly at the front.
3. Stand in front of the car. Reach under the bonnet with one hand and pull up until the bonnet is stopped by the clasp. With the other hand, reach under the bonnet in the center and release the clasp that holds the bonnet down. Raise the bonnet to access the engine compartment.
