How to Change the Front Turn Signal Bulb on a 2000 BMW

1. Prop open the hood.
2. Look for a small access hole next to the headlamp. It will be closer to the side view mirror than the headlamp.
3. Stick the extended neck flat head screwdriver through this hole.
4. Press down and toward you. This action engages a tab that releases the headlamp.
5. Unplug the cable connecting the headlamp to the car via the bulb socket.
6. Turn the socket clockwise to remove it from the headlamp.
7. Press the old bulb down in the socket and rotate clockwise to remove it from the socket.
8. Insert the new bulb in the socket. For a list of bulb sizes for your particular model BMW, see the Resources section.
9. Plug the socket into the cable and turn the car on, checking that the new turn signal bulb works.
10. Reattach the headlamp assembly to the socket.
11. Insert the headlamp assembly into the car where it came out of. It will click into place.
12. Close the hood.
