How to Tune a BMW 330

1. Tune the suspension for better handling. Install stiffer, lower springs paired with performance shocks for a handling increase or you can install an adjustable coilover kit for the ultimate in handling upgrades. To do this, the old suspension must be removed.
2. Upgrade the wheels and tires. Once your 330 has a lower ride height, the next logical step is to upgrade the stock wheels and tires with a set of aftermarket alloys and stickier tires. To install new wheels and tires, use a floor jack to raise the car, remove the old wheels and then install the new wheel and tire package.
3. Upgrade the brakes. On the 330, you can simply upgrade to performance compound pads. For the ultimate upgrade, install a big brake kit, which will include larger rotors, calipers and braided steel brake lines for a dramatic improvement.
4. Upgrade the exterior and interior. For the exterior, a common upgrade is the installation of carbon fiber hood and trunk lids. To install a new trunk and hood, remove the bolts that hold the stock hood to the hinges and bolt on the aftermarket components. For the interior, remove the stock seats and bolts in a set of performance bucket seats. These will install with adapters available from the maker of the seats. Bolt in the seat adapters to the existing bolt holes and then bolt in the new seats.
