How to Repair a 1982 Mercedes 300D Headlight

1. Turn off the 300D's engine.
2. Push in the headlight cover to open it, and swing it away from the vehicle. Remove the four screws behind the headlight with the screwdriver.
3. Tug on the electrical connector. If it comes out, securely plug it to the rear of the headlight.
4. Push the bulb in and turn to the left, then lift the bulb out to remove it. Use a clean cloth to install the new bulb. Reattach the screws and close the headlight cover.
5. Open the hood and locate the fuse box to the right of the engine. Remove the cover and locate the headlight fuse. It is labeled 'HEAD LIGHT.' If the fuse is blown, pull it out and replace it. Place the cover onto the fuse box and close the hood.
