How to Check the Transmission Oil on a 1999 Audi A4 2.8L

1. Park your vehicle on leveled ground. Turn the engine off and remove the key from the ignition.
2. Raise your Audi A4 with the floor jack and secure it on the four jack stands.
3. Slide beneath your vehicle and locate the transmission located behind the engine towards the center of the vehicle.
4. Locate the two plugs on the transmission. Remove the larger plug from the transmission and place your finger in the hole. If you can feel the fluid, then you have enough in your vehicle.
5. Inspect the color of the transmission fluid. If it is clear or almost clear, your transmission fluid is clean and does not need to be replaced.
