Instructions for Changing the Oil in a Mercedes E320

1. Drive the front of your E320 onto shop ramps and place wheel chocks at the back of your rear tires to ensure the car doesn't unintentionally move.
2. Get under the E320's driver side and remove the access cover that houses access to the oil drain plug. This access cover is attached to the car with four 8mm bolts.
3. Position the oil drain pan underneath the drain plug after you have revealed it.
4. Loosen the drain plug using the 13mm socket or a 13mm wrench to drain the oil out of the oil pan.
5. Replace the drain plug gasket while the oil drips into the oil drain pan.
6. Reinstall the drain plug screw after the oil has finished draining and reinstall the plastic access cover.
7. Open the car's hood and loosen the oil filler neck's cap, then place the funnel into the oil filler.
8. Slowly pour 8.5 quarts of oil into the engine crankcase. Replace the filler cap when you are done.
9. Close the hood and start the engine to allow the oil to circulate through it as it runs at idle for a few minutes to complete the procedure.
