How to Use the CD on a Mercedes E500

1. Turn the radio on and select CD Player. You will see these buttons on the main radio in the center of the car.
2. Look at the screen in the middle of the speedometer. Repeatedly press the button on the left side of the steering wheel near the 9 that looks like it has two boxes on it until you see the information for the CD player on the screen. Stop when you see 'Track _' on the screen. You will see an arrow above and an arrow below the word 'Track.' To the left of the top arrow you will see which CD is being played, for example 'CD 2.'
3. Change the track by pressing the buttons on the steering wheel with an up or down arrow. These buttons can be found near the buttons on the steering wheel that you pressed in Step 2. You can also change the track on the main radio by pressing similar buttons with arrows.
4. Change a CD by pressing the eject button, a triangle with a line under it, located above the slit where the CD is inserted on the main radio. Select the disc you want to eject by pressing 'disc,' then a button 1 through 6, then the eject button. This is the way the newer Mercedes CD players operate. If you have an older Mercedes with a 6-disc CD player mounted in the glove box, you must first eject the CD magazine by pressing the eject button on the Cd player then remove the magazine. Remove and replace the CDs by pulling out their slot. Insert the magazine the same way you removed it.
