How to Reset the Oil Engine Light on a BMW X5 2003 for Free

1. Sit in the driver seat of the X5. Insert the key into the ignition. Press and hold the odometer button on the dashboard.
2. Turn the ignition key to the 'Acc.' or 'on' position while continuing to press the odometer button. Watch the service panel and release the odometer button when the panel displays the service panel notice.
3. Repeatedly press the odometer button until you see 'Reset' or 'Re' on the display. When 'Reset' begins to flash, press and release the odometer button a final time. Watch for the new service interval to appear, then push 'End SIA.'
4. Turn the key to the 'off' position and remove it from the ignition.
