How to Replace an MMI Switch

1. Lay a thin rag over the MMI switch you wish to remove. Ensure that it's fully covered, but that the rag isn't too thick. You will know that you need to use a thinner rag if the pump wrench is not able to obtain a firm grip.
2. Adjust the pump wrench to its wider setting and position it around the switch.
3. Tighten the pump wrench slowly until it's firmly, but gently, grasping the rag-covered MMI switch.
4. Pull up on the MMI switch's knob in a firm motion. Be sure to pull directly up with firm, but not violent, force. Wiggle it slightly to loosen it if you encounter some trouble.
5. Place the new MMI knob over the switch's input and push down gently and firmly until you hear it audibly snap into place.
