How to Read the Required Tire Pressure

1. Locate the the maximum tire pressure reading on the sidewall of the tire. Do not go by the recommendation in your car owner's manual.
2. Note the maximum PSI (pounds per square inch). The label will say something like 'MAX. PRESSURE 240 kPa (35psi).' Ignore the 240 kPa and use the 35 psi as the proper pressure for the tire.
3. Push the tire pressure gauge firmly on to the tire valve and record the reading. Compare the reading against the recommended pressure on the side wall of the tire to see if you need to inflate or deflate your tires.
