How to Program a HomeLink Door Opener

1. Place the HomeLink transmitter in programming mode by pressing and holding the two outermost buttons on the transmitter until the indicator light starts blinking. This takes approximately 20 seconds.
2. Hold the garage door or gate opener remote control approximately an inch from the HomeLink transmitter. Point the indicator light of the remote control at the indicator light of the HomeLink transmitter.
3. Choose the button on the HomeLink transmitter you want to control your garage door or gate opener and hold it in while pressing the remote control button. Continue to hold both buttons until the indicator light on the HomeLink transmitter blinks slowly, followed by rapid blinking.
4. Press and hold the newly programmed HomeLink button. If the indicator light turns on and remains solid, the transmitter is properly programmed and ready for use. If the indicator light blinks and then remains lit, the HomeLink button is not yet ready to operate your garage door or gate.
5. Place the motor unit of your garage door or gate in programming mode by pressing the "Learn" button on the motor unit. Refer to the instruction manual of your garage door or gate opener for information if you cannot locate the "Learn" button.
6. Push the HomeLink button used in Step 3 to complete the programming of your HomeLink transmitter.
