How to Install BMW Side Mirrors

1. Roll down both front windows, and then turn off the car.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the car battery. You want to avoid accidentally shocking yourself while dealing with the wires in the mirrors.
3. Pry the panel on the inside of the door off -- direct opposite of the mirror -- by using the screwdriver.
4. Disconnect the wire clip. The clip connects the wires from the door to the wires in the mirror.
5. Hold the mirror with one hand through the open window and unscrew the three bolts with with other hand using the wrench.
6. Place the new mirror against the car door in the newly opened spot and screw the three bolts back in.
7. Reconnect the clip and replace the panel.
8. Perform Steps 3 through 7 for the other mirror.
9. Reconnect the negative battery cable, start the car and test the mirrors by moving them with the power mirror switch. Set the mirrors so you can see what's behind the car sides clearly without having to move your head too greatly.
