How Do I Remove an Audi Door Handle?

1. Remove the screws that hold the inside trim in your Audi. Remove the screws that secure the door panel. Screws are located by the door handle, under the armrest, under the door and on the side of the door.
2. Pull back gently on the door panel. The several small clips that hold the panel to the frame can break if you are too forceful. Pull back the panel while taking care not to snap the tabs.
3. Lift the panel up to get it over the window ledge, then pull off until you can see all the connections that are holding the panel onto the car. Disconnect the wires from the door handle to the door, the mechanical controls and any other wiring you may see. Pull the panel off.
4. Pull back the weather seal that prevents moisture from getting in to the inside of the door. Be careful; if the weather seal tears, you will have to replace it.
5. Unscrew the bolts that secure the door handle to the inside of the car. Once all bolts are removed, the door handle can be easily pulled off the outside of the door.
