How to Reset the Oil Light on a BMW 325i

1. Put the key in the ignition. Hold the trip odometer button and simultaneously turn the key to the first position, which turns on the car battery. The trip odometer is located in the instrument panel.
2. Hold the odometer button down until you see wording similar to 'Oil Change' and 'Reset' in the display screen on the speedometer, then release the odometer button.
3. Press the odometer button again until 'Reset' starts to flash, then release the button.
4. Press the button again quickly while 'Reset' is flashing to reset the oil light.
