How to Replace the Headlights on a 1985 Mercedes Benz

1. Open the hood for access to the headlights. Ensure the headlights and the engine are both turned off.
2. Locate the back of the headlight. Unscrew the two plastic screws located top and bottom of the back of the headlight assembly with a flat tip screwdriver. Pull the cover off the back of the assembly.
3. Unscrew the headlight socket by twisting it counterclockwise by hand. Pull the socket out.
4. Pull the bulb gently out of the socket. Replace with the new bulb.
5. Screw the socket back into the headlight assembly. Place the cover back on to the assembly.
6. Screw in the two plastic screws you removed in Step 2 with a flat tip screwdriver. Close the hood.
7. Repeat all of the above steps to replace the bulb in the second headlight.
8. Test the headlights to ensure they are working.
