How to Remove Avus Wheel Caps


Using a Flat-head Screwdriver
1. Locate the notches that surround the perimeter of the Avus center cap.
2. Insert the tip of the flat-head screwdriver into one of the notches.
3. Pry the cap from the wheel cover by applying leverage on the screwdriver handle.
4. Pull the Avus center cap from the wheel cover with your hand when any edge of the cap becomes loose.
Pin Hole Removal Method
5. Locate the pin holes on the face of Avus center cap. Many Avus center caps have two pin holes; however, not all Avus center caps have pin holes.
6. Put the tip of the Avus cap removal tool into at least one of the pin holes. Some cap removal tools are designed to go into both pin holes at once. If using this type of tool, insert both tips into the Avus cap pin holes.
7. Pry the cap away from the wheel cover by placing leverage on the end of the center cap removal tool
8. Pull the Avus center cap from the wheel cover with your hand when any edge of the cap becomes free.
