How to Change an Air Filter in a 2000 Audi A6
1. Open the hood and locate the air filter on the left side of the engine compartment. It's a large box connected to the engine via the intake tubing.
2. Unclamp the silver clamps on the side of the air box with your hands, then lift up the air filter box lid and remove the air filter. Clean out any dirt or particulates from the bottom of the air box using the wet/dry vacuum.
3. Set the replacement air filter in the air box, making sure it's seated correctly in the box. Close the lid onto the air filter and reclip the clips onto the air box cover. If the air filter is not seated properly in the box, the lid won't latch shut. If that happens, be sure to reposition the air filter until the box clips shut.
