How Do I Remove a C220 Sunroof?

1. Place an old sheet across the interior to help prevent debris from falling on the interior surfaces as you are working.
2. Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts attached to the clamps around the glass pane of the sunroof. Loosen the clamps from around the glass and lift the pane away from the sunroof.
3. Remove the screws attached to the headliner and wind deflector on the sunroof using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Remove them and set aside with the glass pane.
4. Apply sealant remover to the seal that connects the sunroof frame to the roof. Allow about half an hour to for the remover to break down the seal.
5. Use a rubber mallet to carefully loosen the sunroof frame, and remove it. Take care not to damage the roof of the Mercedes when doing this.
