How to Remove Trunk Speakers From a BMW 325i

1. Lift the rear seat cushion from the front, and pull it free of the bench. Feed the safety belts through their openings to remove the rear seat completely.
2. Use the T-50 bit and screwdriver to remove the screws securing the safety belts to the bench.
3. Open the trunk. You will need access through the trunk to release the rear seats and to remove the c-pillar.
4. Fold the rear seat backs forward. Pull the seat release lever in the trunk.
5. Remove the c-pillar lights. The c-pillar is a supporting beam positioned behind the rear seats. Pry the lights from their housings, using the flat-head screwdriver, and pull apart the connections by hand.
6. Pull the c-pillar upward and outward toward the rear of the vehicle to remove it.
7. Remove the rear seat bolsters. The bolsters are the diagonal panels at the corners of each rear seat. Pull from the top first, then pull upward and outward to release the bolster completely.
8. Remove the rear deck strip by pulling the plastic color-coded rivets from the top of the strip, using a pry tool or flat-head screwdriver. Undo the bottom clips at the corners of the strip by hand.
9. Remove the two speaker covers. Use a pry tool or flat-head screwdriver to reveal the speakers.
10. Remove the speakers. The speakers are held in place by three bolts each. Remove these bolts using an 8 mm socket and ratchet.
11. Disconnect the speakers from the wiring harnesses. Do this by hand, with a medium amount of pulling force.
