How to Repair a 1974 Mercedes

1. Start the engine and run it until it's warm but not hot. The oxygen sensor is easier to remove from a warm engine. Turn the engine off.
2. Raise the hood and prop it open. Locate the oxygen sensor on the passenger side exhaust manifold. It's a small plug installed directly into the manifold.
3. Remove the oxygen sensor with the special oxygen sensor socket.
4. Install a new oxygen sensor in the manifold, using the oxygen sensor socket. Close the hood of your Mercedes-Benz.
