How to Clean AMG Wheels

Manufacturer's Recommendations
1. Spray the AMG wheel with water from a hose to remove dust and dirt.
2. Spray the entire surface of the wheel in a thin, even layer of a tire cleaning foam. Mercedes Benz recommends using Wheel Care, as it's specially formulated to keep AMG wheels in peak condition. For thick residue or tough stains, allow the cleaner to sit on the tires for five to ten minutes.
3. Wipe the cleaner into the tire with a soft-bristled brush.
4. Rinse the foam from the tire with a hose.
5. Dry the AMG wheels with a towel to prevent water spots.
Homemade Cleaner
6. Spray the AMG wheel with water from a hose to remove dust and dirt.
7. Combine 1/4 cup borax, 1/4 tsp lemon oil, 1/4 tsp vegetable oil-based liquid soap and 1 tsp household bleach in a small bucket. As you mix the ingredients, they will form a paste-like cleaner.
8. Use a soft-bristled cleaning brush or rag to rub the cleaner into the AMG wheels. Allow the paste to dry on the wheels.
9. Spray the wheels with a hose to remove the cleaning residue.
10. Dry the AMG wheels with a towel to prevent water spots.
