How to Install Sony Radio Wires to a Car

1. Loosen and disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the car battery. Place the cable away from the battery.
2. Connect the wire harness of the vehicle -- containing the ground, power, and speaker wiring -- to a wire harness adapter. Ensure the connection is secure by giving it a tug.
3. Connect the wiring of the Sony unit to the other end of the wire harness adapter. Ensure the connection is secure by giving it a tug.
4. Connect the radio antenna cable to the Sony head unit's radio antenna port located on the left hand side of the back of the radio.
5. Insert the wired Sony radio into the dashboard housing and secure it there -- methods will differ depending on the model of car. Reattach the cable to the car's negative battery terminal.
