1. Decide between purchasing an aftermarket fan or an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) fan. OEM parts are typically more expensive than aftermarket parts. Research and compare fan prices on websites such as auto parts sites, BMW forums where BMW owners and mechanics discuss and sell car parts and BMW's official site. You can also visit a BMW dealership or auto parts store to find a BMW 325I fan within your budget. Type in the year and model of your BMW in the search box on an auto parts site or tell this information to a salesperson at a store to ensure that you purchase the correct fan for your car's year and model.
2. Sit in your driver's seat and find the hood release lever located under and to the left of your steering wheel. Pull the lever toward your body to release the hood of your car. Go to the hood of the car and locate the plastic latch that protrudes from the grill. Pull the lever out and up with your hands to open the hood.
3. Locate the engine and attached fan that is connected to the water pump. Place your 32 mm wrench around the fan nut that holds the fan in place. Apply force to loosen the lug nut by hammering the wrench in a clockwise motion. Place the nut aside for re-installation.
4. Spin the fan clockwise, using your hands to loosen and remove it. Discard the old fan.
5. Turn your BMW 325I replacement fan clockwise to fasten it onto the water pump. Screw in the fan nut that you set aside in Step 3 with the 32 mm wrench. Close the hood of your car.

How to Travel by Car in France

1. Rent a car. Most of the major rental car agencies, such as Hertz, Avis and National, operate in France. Rentals can be booked via the Internet or by phone and confirmed prior to your trip. If you are using a travel agent, or one of the Internet travel services, you can often combine your car rental with airline tickets or hotel rooms to get a discount. Making these arrangements in advance can make the process easier by eliminating any language translation issues.French rental agencies such as Century Self Drive and Autos Abroad offer deeply discounted rentals and can also be booked prior to your trip.
2. Buy a car.Although this might sound like a strange option, non-EU residents can realize big discounts by utilizing a program called Purchase and Buy-Back, or TT Leasing. This tax free program is available through Citroen, Peugeot and Renault, but is only advantageous if you plan to use the vehicle for a minimum of three weeks.
3. Gather important documentation. While driving in France, you should carry an original insurance registration certificate, a valid driver’s license, a passport and a copy of your rental agreement.
4. Make sure that your rental car is properly equipped. In France you are required to carry various safety items at all times. If you are caught without these items, you can be fined. Be sure that the following items are in your rental car prior to departure: a red warning triangle, spare headlight bulbs, a first aid kit and fire extinguisher. If not, contact your rental agent to have these items provided.
5. Understand speed limits.Speed limits in France are shown in kilometers per hour. Some important standard limits to know are: Highways -- 130 km/h or 110 km/h when raining, other roads -- 90 km/h or 80 km/h when raining and 50 km/h in towns or villages. Speed limit signs are round with a red circle around the posted limit.

How to Replace Audi Brake Pads

1. Loosen the lug nuts that hold the wheels to the Audi’s hub. You can use a socket and a ratchet or a lug wrench. Lift the car with a heavy-duty floor jack and lower it onto jack stands. You can support either the front or the rear of the car on jack stands or you can support the entire car. Audis are heavy vehicles, so make sure to use caution and also to use high-quality jack stands.
2. Finish taking the wheels off and set them aside where they won’t become damaged or scratched. Spray the brake caliper and rotor with brake cleaner and wipe everything down thoroughly with a clean, dry rag.
3. Loosen and remove the two caliper bolts located on the back of the caliper (facing the wheel well) on the top and bottom. Most Audis use a star-shaped bolt, so use the proper Torx bit and a socket. You may also need a breaker bar (an extension on the ratchet for extra torque) to remove the bolts.
4. Remove the caliper from the rotor by sliding it off. You may need to angle the caliper a little to get the piston to retract enough to allow the caliper to slide off the rotor. Support the caliper with a length of wire tied to a nearby suspension component so that the brake line is not damaged from the weight of the caliper while you work. Disconnect the wire for the brake-pad wear sensor.
5. Remove the old brake pads from the rotor or from the caliper. Depending on the model of Audi that you have, the pads may stay with the rotor or they may still be in the brake caliper. Open the lid to the brake-fluid reservoir, located in the engine bay. Use a syringe or a baster to remove a small portion of the brake fluid so that it does not overflow when the caliper pistons are retracted to make way for the new pads.
6. Retract the caliper piston into the caliper by wedging a piece of wood (or the handle of a hammer) between the piston and the opposite side of the caliper and pressing on the piston. Install the brake pads in the opposite of removal. Reconnect the brake-pad wear sensor wire if your Audi has one.
7. Retract the rear caliper piston on newer Audis by using a special caliper-piston tool that fits into the piston and turns it while pressing it into the caliper.
8. Reinstall the caliper and the new pads by sliding the caliper over the rotor. Install and tighten the caliper-retaining bolts with the socket and ratchet. Repeat for the remaining corners of the vehicle. Replace the wheels and lower the car to the ground. Fill the brake-fluid reservoir with brake fluid. Pump the brake pedal until the brakes feel firm again.

How to Replace a Fuel Filter in an Audi A4

1. Position the car ramps behind the vehicle and back up onto the ramps slowly. Place the tire stops in position behind the front tires to secure the vehicle from moving during the replacement.
2. Lift the vehicle's hood and locate the fuse panel. Remove the bolt securing the panel using the crescent wrench. Remove the fuse responsible for controlling the fuel pump.
3. Find the fuel filter under the rear of the vehicle near the fuel tank. Position the floor jack below the fuel tank in preparation of lowering the tank. You will only be lowering the fuel tank about four inches. Using the crescent wrench, remove both metal holding straps that secure the fuel tank in place.
4. Using the floor jack, lower the fuel tank about 4 to 6 inches to gain full access to the fuel filter. Use the crescent wrench to remove both fuel lines going into the fuel filter. Remove the securing bolt and remove the old fuel filter.
5. Install the new filter and replace the securing bolt. Reattach both fuel lines ensuring the arrows on the filter are pointing toward the front of the vehicle. Using the floor jack, lift the fuel tank back in place and reattach the metal holding straps.
6. Reinstall the fuel pump fuse and reattach the bolt that secures the fuse panel. Remove the tire stops and start the vehicle. Drive the vehicle off the car ramps.

How to Program a Smart Key

1. Find your own car manual for programming instructions. If they aren’t there, proceed to Step 3. If you’ve lost the manual, proceed to Step 2.
2. Find your lost manual at diplodocs.com or ownersmanualsource.com. Both websites are free. The latter is for cars specifically. The former provides a link to your car’s manual as an icon in the upper right portion of the page. Several pay sites will sell you a new manual, but they can cost as much as the price of having your smart key reprogrammed at a dealership, which defeats the purpose.
3. Find programming instructions at keylessride.com or programyourremote.com. The former is a pay site while the latter is free. If your own model-year combination isn’t at programyourremote.com, a similar model’s instructions may work. Otherwise, go to Step 4.
4. Call a dealership asking for programming instructions over the phone. Some dealerships may be less cooperative than others, viewing you instead as a source of income if you come in the store for a programming. So you may have to call several dealerships to get free instructions.

How to Convert a Dodge Sprinter to a Camper

1. Sweep the interior of the vehicle and clean all trash and dirt from the inside. Nothing needs to removed or demolished since it is a cargo van with an empty interior. Line the interior walls, ceiling and floor with loft insulation. The insulation can be cut with a razor blade to fit into the deep wall pockets. Cover the insulation with 1/4-inch plywood. Use sheet metal screws to attach the plywood to the van by drilling the screws into the long structural braces that already exist in the van. Pre-cut holes in the plywood to match the existing interior lights.
2. Cover the floor of the van with carpet. Use carpet glue to secure the material to the floor and a combination of carpet glue and carpet nails for the walls and ceiling. Only use the nails around the exterior line of the carpet. You can use wood for the floor but carpet adds insulation value for cold weather camping.
3. Frame a bed for the back of the van using 2-by-3 boards. Build a rectangular base and four uprights for each long side. Use two uprights for the short sides. Frame the top of the bed to match the bottom. Cover the sides of the bed with 1/4-inch plywood and 1-inch wood screws. Attach a hinge to the top of the bed frame and attach 1/4-inch plywood to the hinge. This will allow access to the storage area beneath the bed. Connect the bed to the floor with metal brackets and one inch wood screws. Make the width of the bed equal to the width of the back of the van and adjust the length to support one or two people. Cover the bed with foam padding for comfort.
4. Build a bench seat on one side of the van. Make the bench seat 3-feet wide and 4-feet tall. The length can be all the way to the front seats or only a couple of feet depending on the number of people that will be in the van at one time. Build the bench by constructing a rectangular frame out of 2-by-3 boards. Cover the bench with 1/4-inch plywood and use a hinge on the top for access to the storage inside of the bench. Secure the bench to the floor of the van with a metal bracket. Cover the bench with foam padding. Staple the corners of the foam directly to the bench, with a staple gun.
5. Build a counter top on the opposite side of the bench. This will leave a walking isle between the bench and the counter. Use 2-by-4 boards for the legs and 1/4-inch plywood for the top. Cover the plywood with a marine grade paint to prevent water damage. Secure each leg of the counter to the floor of the van using metal brackets. Place plastic storage containers beneath the counter for kitchen and camping supplies.
